One of the most important lessons in life, in my opinion, is to decide. To make a decision
When you don’t make a decision yourself, others make it for you – whether you are aware of it or not.
I haven’t always known, it is a conscious choice I have to make. I kinda just thought it was me and ‘the way I am’ when I decided to leave school at the age of 17 to move to London, for example.
If I’d known it takes practice being enough, authentic, real, honest and so on – I would have started practicing earlier.
But now I know, and so I’ll share with you some of the things I decide and choose to do, and be in my life:
Things I decide to say NO to:
people who are not good for me
too many projects
stress and overwhelm
watching rubbish on the telly that rots my brain
Some of the things I choose:
to guard my mind from trash and rubbish, it being thoughts, advertisements, telly or gossip
that I matter
to set boundaries for myself so I don’t let people hurt my feelings
that I am enough
to do the work
to set time aside for me
to keep learning and feed my mind
to think for myself
These are some thoughts and ways of being that is important to me
You must choose and decide.
Decide what kind of person you want to be. Where you want to live and how you want to live.
What kind of people/friends you want to be around.
Decide and choose.
Choose to have many careers. Choose not to limit yourself to just one passion. Decide to live in another country. Whatever it is, it’s much better that you make the decision and not someone else.
By writing and sharing this post with you I’m choosing to practice my authenticity.
It feels good.
