A Multi passionate with a job
So, I've broken my record.
I've gone past the 2-year mark on the job front.
I have now been in the same job for over 2 years. And what's even more unusual is that I can easily see myself there for another few years.
As I'm writing this I'm 43 years old and before this job in a Children's Nursery, I had never been in the same job for more than 2 years.
That's a true story.
Now, I'm a multi passionate with a job. And I love it!
It wasn't always the case of course. In true multi-passionate form, I have had many jobs, some of which I've liked for a while but most jobs have been a means to an end. To make money, to live.
Then I started my online vintage shop and stopped working for others completely.
That wasn't so good for me. Not at that time anyway. I went a bit doolally being on my own all the time.
I wasn't bored or anything, I actually worked non-stop, but not having that social contact proved not to be good for me.
Which is kinda weird as I'm introvert. Perhaps I'm a social introvert. Is that a thing? Don't know. Anyway, so after years of trial and error, I seem to have found a balance now where I have a job I love 4 days a week and then I have my blogs (one in English and one in Danish), my coaching, my connections to friends and "online friends" from around the world.
My online world is such a big part of my creative freedom. I would seriously go crazy if I didn't have that. I love writing and connecting with real people online. "Real people online". That could be a title for another blog post.
Have I found THE solution?
Of course not. Will I be doing this for the rest of my life? Of course not.
Because I know there isn't ONE solution.
There's here and now. Trying something to see if it works. Trial and error. Trust.
Trusting the process is HUGE. So HUGE that I'll say it with cap letters ;-)
I just realized I could call it the 4 T's:
There's here and now
Trying something to see if it works
Trial and error
Anyway, just thought I'd share a way this multi-passionate work/entrepreneur/mum combo-thing can be done.
It's just one of way, you'll have your own way.
If you feel like sharing it with us, please do
