Why you want to jump on the multi-passionate merry-go-round without getting dizzy
If you are the type of person, who has many ideas and visions and intentions and will and creativity, and they are all messed up like a yarn bundle, and you don't know which way to turn or where to start, then I have the answer for you:
Jump on the multi-passionate merry-go-round.
What is the multi-passionate merry-go-round?
It's a term I've made up,and it's similar to what some people call a creative cul-de-sac.
The important difference is, the merry-go-round is not a dead end!
It's a fun and sometimes hairy ride of exploring your ideas and passions in an actual way, so that you get real experience with what works for you and what doesn't.
Let yourself go on as many trips as you want because eventually some of the ideas will be thrown off and you will be left with the ones that stick.
Going on the multi-passionate merry-go-round means:
Allowing yourself to explore them all.
Knowing that you don't have the answer all the time.
It means allowing yourself to change your mind - as often and as much as you like.
And letting go of being a super control freak.
It means making mistakes
...because mistakes leads to clarity
It means fumbling around in the dark
A big part of being a happy multi-passionate is accepting and loving that your life is not a straight line. You are not a follower, walking in other people’s footsteps.
Embrace that and honestly, be proud of the way you view the world.
It's ok not knowing how you're going to spend your whole professional life in advance. How can anyone anyway?
What's this obsession with having to know everything? No one does anyway. There is so much to learn and experience in this life. Why not have a go at as many things you can?
All this can be said in a very short and simple way:
Action leads to clarity!
You have to sit your behind down and work out what kind of life you want and then get to work!
It's that complicated and that simple.
Don't worry about a title. Those days are over.
Life's this big messy, bundled up, creative process, and why not try different things?
Jump on the multi-passionate merry-go-round and watch what happens.
Enjoy the ride :-)
